WITCHCRAFT- The way of the Wise
A course of Wiccan training and development with Galdraheim Coven

The course Modules and the subjects covered:-

Module 1:

• Introduction

• Background material concerning Witchcraft, Galdraheim Coven, Coven basics and similar

• Reference material concerning magickal tools

• Basic Wiccan concepts

• The Goddess and the God

• Lunar power

• The Wild side- the power of nature and how to draw from and learn from nature

• Rituals- Self induction/Initiation, Full Moon empowerment, Cleansing and charging your Witches tools

• Administration, course format and structure, how we work together

• Reading list

Projects:-

1. The Athame- the Witches primary magickal tool

2. Organising a Robe, and a belt to use with that

3. Cords. Used in Cord magick

4. A Book of Shadows

'Warm-up' Exercises and games:-

• Opening the senses

• Earth energies

• Auras

• Making initial contact with the Goddess and God

• Shifting concepts and perceptions

Module 2:

•  The Witches magick circle 

• The Elemental forces

• The Witches Pyramid

• The Pentagram and hexagram

• The Altar

• Correspondences and other magickal connections

• Weaving those together and  developing rituals

• Sacred measures- 'taking magick in hand'

•  Visualisation

Projects:-

1. Making a Magickal Wand

Exercises:-

• Constructing a Circle casting ritual

• Researching magickal correspondences and constructing a table of these to use for spells and other magick

• Learning the Witches Pyramid, the use of Invoking and banishing pentagrams in ritual and other powerful symbolic actions

Module 3:

• The Wheel of the Year- the eight Sabbats/Festivals of the sacred year wheel. Their inner power, the deep meaning, and the practicalities of celebrating them so as to attune yourself to the power of the seasons.

You will receive a beautiful poster of the Year wheel festivals with this course module

Projects:

1. Beginning on constructing/obtaining the other magickal tools that Wiccans use

Exercises:-

1. Constructing  rituals to celebrate the Year Wheel festivals

Module 4:

• Magick and spells- how to work them

• Cantrips, rhymes and magickal chants

• Cord magick

• Candle magick

• Talismans- how to make and charge them

• Sigils and symbols

Projects:-

1. Research the correspondences for a Talisman

2. Construct and charge that Talisman

3. Construct a Candle magick spell based on what you have learned

Module 5:

• Divination and divinatory systems

• Runes

• Magickal alphabets

• Tarot

• Crystal Balls and other Skrying techniques

Projects:-

1. Make a set of Runes

2. Make a bag in which to keep your Runes and a cloth on which to carve them

Exercises:- 

1. Begin learning the meanings of the Runes

Module 6:

• Herbalism

• Incenses

• Magickal powders

• Sources of supply

• Tying up any loose ends

• Dedicant ritual

• The award of your Certificate of completion of the course

• On towards further training, development and Initiation- with Galdraheim Coven, into Galdraheim Coven, on your own.

At this point we will discuss all these possibilities.

Projects:

1. Research and blend 2 incenses- 1) for general magickal use, 2) For use at a Sabbat

2. Blend a magickal powder and charge it. Combining your work on correspondences and developing rituals for specific magickal intentions

Exercises:-

1. Acquire a selection of good, reliable books for reference use on herbalism, plant/tree lore and  identifying your local plants and trees.

2. Go book in hand into your local countryside and compare book illustrations with actual plants, trees and fungi

'And...... as a Dedicant Witch there are many possibilities ahead of you. All of which we can discuss more fully at that time when you are ready to step further upon the 'Way of the Wise'.
